How do I get a quotation for my move?
What kind of service will be included in the quote?
Our quote covers the transportation of all listed items from the customer’s residence to the specified new address, including packing and unpacking services, handyman work, and furniture disposal etc.
Additionally, all packing materials (such as cartons, bubble pads, newsprint paper, tape, etc.) required for the move are included in the quote. We will also handle the cleanup of Setia’s unpacking materials and provide free collection of materials after the move.
Can I store my belongings?
We provide both long-term and short-term warehouse storage services, offering flexible options to keep your belongings safe.
Our storage units are fully equipped with temperature control (below 25°C), humidity control (below 60%), and fresh air system to ensure that no mold develops in any corner of the warehouse.
Do I need to pay extra packing materials fee?
Unless you choose to purchase additional materials not required for the move, customers do not need to pay extra, as the necessary packing materials are already included in the moving fee.
The packing materials will be delivered to your home at the scheduled time before the move.
What preparations are needed before moving?
Customers should notify the management office to complete the moving registration. Additionally, it’s important to organize items in advance, label boxes, and clear out unnecessary items.
What should be noted on the day of the move?
Make sure to inform the moving team of any special requests or important details before the move.
What kind of boxes do you offer?
SMALL CARTON BOX
Size: 20” x 17” x 14”
Suitable for toiletries, books, CD’s, DVD’s plus small but heavier decoration items
MEDIUM CARTON BOX
Size: 21” x 17” x 17”
Suitable for heavier items such as shoes, small appliances, lamp shades, kitchenware and light decoration items (Note: even weight on each carton)
LARGE CARTON BOX
Size: 24” x 19” x 19”
Suitable for larger household appliances, lamps, toys, bedding, pillows and clothes that can fold
PLASTIC CRATE *
Size: 27” x 19” x 14.5”
Suitable for glass cabinets and various items, including books. However, when moving up and down stairs, small cardboard boxes should be used instead. Plastic boxes are not recommended for storing shoes
Would you come to collect the used boxes?
For environmental friendly reasons, you’re encouraged to contact Setia to collect disposable boxes for recycling as protective materials.
We use plastic crates to help clients pack irregular shape items. Please contact Setia for returning after use within two weeks. If the crate is not returned or goes missing, our client has to pay the expenses incurred.
To save space and make us easier, please:
Flatten the cardboard boxes
Clean and empty the plastic boxes
This not only helps us with recycling, but also allows you to enjoy a 5% discount on your next move as a reward.
Will there be any additional charges to pay after moving?
As long as the moving contents and conditions remain unchanged, the final charge will also remain the same. However, if the moving contents or conditions differ from those stated in the quotation, appropriate adjustments will be made.
However, please note that the quotation does not include tunnel fees (receipts for tunnel fees will not be provided separately), bridge tolls, or parking fees, as these costs may vary depending on the location. We will charge customers based on the receipts obtained from third parties.
How can I pay?
Once confirm the moving, a 30% down payment needs to be settled to confirm the order. And the remaining balance has to settle on moving day upon the completion of the job.
